SEO is a commonly used acronym for Search Engine Optimization. Search Engine Optimization is the process of increasing a websites 'page rank.' Page rank refers to how far down a website appears on a list of websites rendered by a search engine (google, yahoo, etc.) for a user's search inquiry.

Student SEO Syndicate is a new organization on campus that connects students interested in the subject of Search Engine Optimization. All levels of experience are welcome. In addition SEO club will work to achieve the following for its members

• Teach classes in SEO and related areas such as web design and graphic design
• Fund an online SEO certification and education for members
• Invite local and national SEO representatives for lectures
• Promote websites that members own and are looking for assistance with SEO
• Reach out to businesses and in teams apply new found knowledge to optimize their search rankings
